Voter Fraud

How Ballot Harvesting Corrupts Elections

Below is a video of the Obama interview where he supposedly encourages illegal aliens to vote. In fact he explicilty states that illegal aliens can not vote, but implies that if they do, there are no consequences. Skip the video and read the transcript below, highlighting is mine:

RODRIGUEZ: Many of the millennials, Dreamers, undocumented citizens — and I call them citizens because they contribute to this country — are fearful of voting. So if I vote, will immigration know where I live? Will they come for my family and deport us?

OBAMA: Not true. And the reason is, first of all, when you vote, you are a citizen yourself. And there is not a situation where the voting rolls somehow are transferred over and people start investigating, et cetera. The sanctity of the vote is strictly confidential in terms of who you voted for. If you have a family member who maybe is undocumented, then you have an even greater reason to vote.

RODRIGUEZ: This has been a huge fear presented especially during this election.

OBAMA: And the reason that fear is promoted is because they don’t want people voting. People are discouraged from voting and part of what is important for Latino citizens is to make your voice heard, because you’re not just speaking for yourself. You’re speaking for family members, friends, classmates of yours in school…

RODRIGUEZ: Your entire community.

OBAMA: … who may not have a voice. Who can’t legally vote. But they’re counting on you to make sure that you have the courage to make your voice heard.

The problem with the interview is that Rodriguez introduces the fake phrase “undocumented citizen” to refer to illegal aliens, while Obama is talking about legal citizens. Masterful propaganda. Obama has plausable deniability while Rodriguez/the democrats have no motivation to correct the record and emphasize that illegal aliens can not vote. Let them misinterpret Obama’s words. I doubt illegals have enough command of the English language to understands the subtleties of the interview.

A recent study suggests that voter id laws have no impact on turn out or fraud. There are concerns with the methodology, and other findings contradict the result. Personally I find it hard to believe that voter id laws have no impact. Regardless of the research, lets just do it and remove fraud as an excuse for one politician’s success over another. Strong voter identification systems may also allow for online voting, which would be a step towards eliminating absentee and early voting, a source of fraud.

  • Problems

Non-citizen voting
No voter ID requirements
Ballot Harvesting
Ballot box stuffing
Voter intimidation
Foreign influence
Absentee voting
Early voting
Motor voter laws

  • Solutions

Strict voter ID requirements
Citizenship required
High school education required
No voting past the age of 75 years
Eliminate absentee and early voting options
Provide electronic voting option with electronic ID
Election day a national holiday (e.g. move President’s day to Nov 7)

Voting must be re-established as a revered right gained by citizenship and education, not just some activity performed once you cross the border. If you are so busy and important that you can’t vote on election day, you forfeit your right.
